After Thanksgiving

The day after turkey day, us girls decided to go shopping later in the morning as to avoid the huge crowds. The guys went to Top Golf. At the end of the day, we got a fire going and roasted marshmallows and made s'mores. This was our last night with Jyl and Tom's family since they were leaving in the morning.

Thanksgiving: The Food

After everyone showered from the morning activities, the food preparations began. We had two turkeys this year, one was baked in the oven and we fried one. We had planned on frying one when we found out we were having company and little to our knowledge did we know Tom always wanted a fried turkey, so he got his wish! While Dale was frying the turkey, Jyl's girls really wanted to swim, normally we would heat up the pool, but our heater was broken on it. I finally told Jyl to let them go, they won't stay in it long since it was cold! The girls put their swim suits on and stuck their feet in it for a little while, but no one went completely in.
Both turkeys turned out really good and there was plenty of food for everyone and then some!
It was really fun to have family visit for Thanksgiving!!

Thanksgiving: Turkey Dash and Turkey Bowl

The girls and I got up early to run our Annual Turkey Dash 5K. It was a cold morning, at least for us. Makenzie tried to run, but ended up walking most of it since her ankle still isn't healed, and I'm sure that walk didn't help the healing process either. Meanwhile, Matthew, Jacob and Tom headed over to the Jr High football  filed for the  Annual Ward Turkey Bowl. after our race the girls and I headed over to the field, but the game was just ending. Dale decided to skip it this year so he wouldn't be sore.

32 is unseasonably cool for here!

There are a lot of people in the house

No one was in line at Target, so Jyl thought she would be the first, no one said she had to stay.
