We had a very cold winter, at least by Houston standards, and we lost a lot of plants. Even though we covered our palm trees, we lost all of them. Dale cut them down and we were working on digging the stumps out. The girls and I trenched around one of the stumps and Dale took a pick and whacked at it till it finally came out, but not before it left a big nasty blister on his hand that popped...OUCH! We thought burning the remaining 2 stumps out would be easier. Dale put lighter fluid on it and lite it up. It was fun to watch, but the stump was still a little green to burn. I guess I will be trenching this coming week.
