This week at Jacob's track meet his event was high jump. They only have two 7th graders who can clear the first bar. Jacob has cleared it a few times at practice so he made it to the meet in this event.
Unfortunately he didn't clear the first height, but sure gave it a good try. He was just happy not to be running the 800!
I over heard a funny comment when he was warming up,
"Look at that kid, he's kind of short and white to be doing this event"
This came from a school that had a lot of color on it, but they said it in a funny way.
